Last days of Saturn & Neptune in Pisces

The end of an era is upon us as we close out 2025. Pretty soon both Neptune and Saturn will make their way back into Aries to join at zero degrees in February for their once every 36 year meeting, but not before offering up extended farewells in Pisces.

The purge is real. The endings are palpable. The weight is ready to be lifted, but maybe just because that last part of us that was holding on is simply over it.

This transition marks not only the end of these planets time through Pisces—Saturn since March 2023, Neptune since April 2011–but also their long journey through the entire zodiac which signals the culmination of about 30 years for Saturn and a whopping 164 for Neptune.

I have an old rusted out cast iron skillet I recently restored and the process was a lot like this astrological moment. Having to scrub away decades of built up oils and fats, residue from lifetimes where I may not have even existed.

These last few years of Saturn beginning to meet Neptune in Pisces has been a lot like this. A check in on the cosmic build up in our psyche.

We are sorting through and trying to make sense of what is ours and what is not, realizing that knowing the answer to this question doesn’t make it easier or not ours to work with. So, we just keep surrendering as best we can, rising to the occasion of our life. And it’s exhausting to go through all that. It’s like when you decide to get organized and fall asleep after looking through 2 boxes because you got flooded with memories and your body’s first response is to be horizontal. But the work is here and it has been here since Saturn entered Pisces in March of 2023. But just think of the peaceful exhilaration you get when you wake up and your space is clean.

The meeting of Saturn and Neptune this coming February at zero degrees of Aries is like a cosmic gift for us all where we get to press reset on our collective experience. Saturn is creation, it is matter and all that we consider tangible in this world. Neptune is the divine, it is spirit itself and our collective dreams. When these two come together it is like a resetting of the collective wish and how it will become manifested. This energy occurs for each of us in a different area of our birth chart and therefore in a different way in our lives but is felt deeply by us all.

We each bring our uniqueness into the dream and with this conjunction miraculously somehow happening at zero degree of Aries—the literal absolute starting point of the entire zodiac—it is like taking our collective first breath again.

There is a Hindu teaching equating one single exhale of Vishnu to the creation of universes. There is something about this alignment that beckons me to ask if we are not all being reminded of that same breath that lives within us and how we too are gifted with creation. If it is all just beginning again, what now?

What do you do now that you know you’ve only just arrived here?

Our next two new moons, a new moon in Sagittarius on Dec 19 and a new moon in Capricorn on Jan 18, will be directly speaking for the last time with Saturn and Neptune while they are in Pisces. The Sagittarius new moon is in a square to Saturn and Neptune while the Capricorn new moon will be in a sextile to these two. The first goodbye square might tug at your heartstrings and keep you lingering, questioning your capacity or strength to walk out the door until that second new moon comes along and suddenly it feels easier to go and you might even be filled with a sense of gratitude for the experience and somehow lighter now.

This is not a message to advocate forcing ourselves to release or purge what is still important to us (even if we wish it were not). In fact, doing that might cause more weight upon our shoulders as we move forward always questioning if we did the right thing. It is more about being honest with who we are right now and what is naturally ready to be integrated, absorbed or enveloped by the love of our own inner light.

And if you’re feeling dragged down by the psychic goop, ask for divine intervention. Your soul can help you clear away what is not necessary to spend another month (or decade) mulling over and making sense of, but you do need to ask and give them permission to do so. We have free will and with that will we can choose to focus solely upon alchemizing the density within ourselves and the world for the rest of our time here on earth or we can widen our experience to include more multidimensionality from this prismatic earth school and ask for help from the divine beings of unconditional love that are here to support us through this very short lifetime we are so blessed to experience.

It is my wish that more of us get to see just how wide and vast the journey can take us, no matter how long we’ve spent traipsing through the swamps or how many times we find it important to return to them, hopefully carrying the knowledge that there is more. There is always more.

May your endings be joyous and vitality restored by a willingness to awaken into your own version of a fresh start.

a look at the new celestial landscape

We have officially crossed the threshold into the new world according to our celestial landscape, as the planet Uranus—our harbinger of breakthroughs, change, freedom and awakening from rigidity, monotony, and outdated conditioning—has moved into Gemini.

This change emphasizes the geometric patterns, or aspects, that the outer planets are currently making to one another. All of the outer planets, the forces that guide us collectively through our greater evolution, are now speaking to one another directly through a series of harmonious aspects. This configuration will be leading the story for the next five years, which means that any transit you are receiving from one of these planets is connecting you into this greater activation.

It is an incredibly significant moment in our history, one that might feel completely out of our control, and also deeply calling us into Self remembrance and new found understanding of our place here in this time through the changes that will ultimately be rippling through our lives.

The first part of this transition has had Saturn beginning to form a conjunction with Neptune through the signs of Pisces and Aries. These two have both stationed retrograde this month, emphasizing their impact in the Aries part of the zodiac. It is very significant that Saturn—being our planet that brings things into form—is present with the outer planets as they align into this formation. The next year and a half before Saturn moves forward and out of the conjunction with Neptune is sure to be an important time of restructuring in response and flow with the changing terrain.

With Neptune and Saturn being in the sign of Aries, this pulls focus back toward the self and our individual dreams, along with our drive and capacity to actually bring form to our passions. I have been personally understanding the first part of their transit as the important work of recognizing the destructive and diminishing beliefs that may be the framework of our personal experience of this life and allowing ourselves to fully surrender these beliefs to Neptune to be dissolved back into the void for repurposing. When we take risks and step outside of our comfort zone, which Aries energy often asks us to do, it puts us in the ripe position to face fears and have our ego and all its potential insecurities come out into the open.

For this reason, it might seem like the things we are trying to start, places we wish to go, things we are trying to accomplish, are not progressing in the way we want. Neptune is formlessness, so it may feel like the Saturnian efforts you put forward are still elusive, even if you’ve tried to give them teeth. This process holds a much bigger purpose though. Any triggers that arise from what feels like defeat, loss, or road blocks in our progress, are here to expose underlying beliefs and make them perfectly clear to us so that we can properly resolve any internal tensions before creating for the long haul.

Speak gratitude upon whatever blocks or difficulties are showing up right now, this is very much the energy of Neptune with Saturn making sure that you are not building your future on a fault line.

Uranus was the final outer planet to shift into new territory this year, bringing with it the emphasis on Mercury and our mental sphere. Neptune and Saturn sextile both Uranus here in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, only emphasizes this mental energy more as these planets are both in air signs, calling attention to the mind and our thoughts.

The words we speak, the things we think, the thoughts that bring meaning to us and the ones that continue to keep us in suffering, are the new current and wind in our sails directing us through life. If there ever were a time to recognize just how much our words are spells, it is now.

Become the loving architect of your internal universe.

Remember that every action you take in the world first begins as a thought running through your body, inspiring you to move. Where is that thought anchored? What belief is it tethered to? Use the energy of this moment to become your own champion. We can reclaim ourselves from past conditioning and beliefs when we approach them with love and understanding. There is always a reason parts of us hold onto painful beliefs and it’s up to us to find out why and show them another way is possible.

With Uranus in Gemini, it might only take that initial first revelation of the pattern and contact with that part of us for the old internal paradigms to dramatically shift. And Pluto’s influence from Aquarius is bringing depth and meaning to these transformations, rendering their impact quite significant for our collective liberation and evolution.

Now is the time to stay malleable.

To create with a light touch and welcome failure as part of the process of building something truly magnificent. Set backs are the gold, bringing focus back to the inner life and showing us exactly what needs adjusting to actually align with destiny, which is very much the energy of Neptune with Saturn. Bridging the seen and unseen worlds, fantasy with real life, the miraculous with the mundane. If we learn to converse with both in equal measure, they are sure to lead us where we always wanted to be, whether or not our minds conceived it first or if it was just a feeling we’ve always carried with us in our heart.

With all the outer planets singing together right now, the possibility for rapid transformation is imminent if we just take the steps to bring our consciousness toward what needs our love and illumination.

Wherever there is frustration, fear, and suffering in your life, that is where you are meant to work. Trust that the more we do this for ourselves and say thank you for all that is being revealed, the more the collective wounds are illuminated and find their own forms of healing and integration for the greater good.

Extending appreciation to all brave enough to traverse through hell towards the freedom that comes when we welcome all parts of self into the purifying love of our heart. May this time bless you and bring you home.
